Annika: Annika’s breaking started with living with a person with D.I.D., or dissociative Identity Disorder. She eventually became this person’s full-time care giver, mentor, coach, and supporter, at the eventual cost of her sanity. Each attempt for Annika to receive help from the outside world ended with her ego being more and more battered, her appropriate defenses around her partner’s control more and more undermined. Pressured from all ends, Annika’s psyche fractured for the first time, splitting into constituent parts to match her partner’s mental state. After reintegrating by herself for the first time, Annika fractured again, matching her partner’s alters as they SOMETHING. After her partner left In 2019, Annika began, by herself, to knit each of the distinct parts of her psyche and personality back together;she spent days at a time screaming, crying, raging, or lying petrified with fear for hours on end. In December 2019, Annika became a whole person again, albeit one with some deep wounds. She had also met all of her parts, including the part that could see the clear nature of Reality. She then spent the next two+ years trying to reintegrate into a society that she now could see was insane.
