Our Music

We believe that humor is an incredible wisdom delivery system. We also are ridiculous human beings and love to make fun of ourselves, and we love to laugh. Here is a list of songs we’ve written so far, mostly satirical, some serious, and all containing a healthy dose of wisdom and self-deprication. Subscribe to our newsletter for updates and links (once we have recordings)!

(It’s better to) Stay at Home

This song is about the anxiety that I (Aaron) have often faced in the past trying to get out the door to do literally anything. I have a part of me that always want to “stay at home” and sit on the couch instead of doing something fun

My Pits are Gross (Fear Repression)

This song is about how stinky we both get when we repress our emotions (mostly me, Aaron) So, if you are extra smelly today, this might be the reason why!

The Annoying Animals of North Carolina

This one is a medley of the really annoying animal experiences Annika and I have had, including stink bugs (gross!), whippoorwills (shut up!), and fire ants (ouch!).

I Am So Spiritual/Bee on my Arm

This song is about the times when both Annika, and again mostly me (Aaron), spiritually bypass in absolutely ridiculous ways, and end up dissociating from most of ourselves to be more “spiritual”.

Synchronicities

This song is more serious, and is a teaching/preaching song, which describes the different categories of synchronicities (as Annika and I have experienced them), with stories of how those types of synchronicities have showed up in our lives, individually and together.

(I need more) Process

This song pokes fun at the New Age/personal growth addiction is “processing” one’s experience (we do this all the time, by the way).

Pre-integral F*ggot

Okay, disclaimer, both Annika and I are both bisexual/same sex attracted, we’ve both dated people of the same gender, so we are both actually f*ggots. This song is about how ridiculous people (including ourselves) often are, and pokes fun at things like consensus meetings, new age-y shamanism, and more.

Parking Lot (It’s Where I Live)

This song is about the experience of sitting in parking lots and having lots of emotions (or not), which Annika and I have done A LOT of during our first year together.

More to come!
